It's Spooky Season... life update and some news...

Sometimes, things happen in your life that come out of nowhere… they take you by surprise and leave you either extremely excited for the next chapter…
Or they tear the world you know apart and you are left standing in the wake of it all wondering what just happened.
Unfortunately, things have happened in my life. And it tore my world apart and I'm still in the storm.
But after every storm, there is a rainbow. I just have to wait for mine to show itself.

As I shared in my note above, I'm in the middle of a storm.
And unfortunately that means putting things on hold. It means not moving forward the way I expected to. It means huge changes are coming for me, and until I'm back on my feet again… I will not be writing or publishing.
I wish I could tell you when this storm will pass and when I should expect to publish again. But I can't.
SOME HUGE NEWS!
During this transition through this major life change, I have decided that I will be putting all of my books back on KU! So if you are wanting to grab an e-book copy from my website, Apple, Kobo, Barnes & Noble or Google Play… now is the time to grab them as I'll be starting the process of unpublishing them from these retailers. I do not know how long it will take to get them taken down so be sure to grab them now while you still can!
I do plan on continuing to send out newsletters every month, but instead of book updates, you'll be getting special excerpts from some of my favorite author friends for their books.
I'll definitely keep you updated on what's going on with me. I promise I'm not quitting, but right now, I have to take care of me, my kids, and my mental health.
Please know that I love and appreciate each of you. Thank you for being on this journey with me.

“Was there a reason you stopped by, Paisley?”
“We’re supposed to do pattern work with the futurity prospects today. You asked me to help you.” My cousin’s attention returns to Drake. “But it looks like you’re busy.”
“No, no. I’m ready to ride.” Even if I totally forgot about our plans to do so. I send a pointed look to the man responsible for distracting me. “He was just leaving.”
“I wasn’t,” Drake interjects. “You on a horse is always a sight to see. It’s been too long.”
“Am I interrupting?” Paisley glances between us but makes no move to offer us privacy.
“Nope, we—”
“Just finished,” Drake cuts in.
“Good grief,” I mutter.
Paisley laughs. “Heck of a reunion.”
“You have no idea.” Drake blows me a kiss.
My face goes up in flames. “Well, this has been fun…”
The blonde bombshell parks her hip against the dining table. “I’m not going anywhere.”
“Wasn’t talking to you.”
Drake drops his jaw. “Are you trying to get rid of me?”
I huff. “Maybe you can get dressed.”
“Kinda hard when you’re wearing my shirt.”
“Just try your best. Please,” I add through clenched teeth.
“Always do.” Drake saunters toward the stairs but pauses to give my butt a soft spank. “Don’t miss me too much, beauty.”

I’m willing to admit that I shouldn’t read spicy scenes in public.
But in my defense, the opportunity rarely rises elsewhere.
As a single mom and farm owner, my time is stretched thinner than horse hair.
Besides, I’d reached a pivotal peak in the story and couldn’t put it down.
That is until someone bumps into me.
My phone launches into the air like a base hit, but the device is caught before smashing into the ground.
It comes as no surprise considering the guy is a professional baseball star.
Drake Granger isn’t the boy I remember, but I could still pick him out of the roster while blindfolded.
This charming man doesn’t hesitate to tease me about what he spies on my screen.
He also doesn’t break stride before asking me out on a date.
But as previously mentioned, spare time isn’t a luxury I possess…
Drake claims that whatever I’m willing to give is plenty.
It doesn’t take long to prove that’s not the game he’s playing.
This pro is done striking out, and headed straight for home.
